How an evening counts

  1. Tap in the evening

One tap in the check-in: none today. That's all it takes.

  2. The day counts

It goes into the shared total — without your name.

  3. Slipped? Carry on.

A slip only takes back that one day. The month goes on.

Your January

No streak theatre: every confirmed day counts on its own. A January can look like this:

January 202730 of 31 days
MonTueWedThuFriSatSun
12345678910111213141516171819202122232425262728293031

30 days count. The 17th doesn't — and the month goes on.

Why a month

20%

of people asked in Germany had resolved to drink less alcohol in 2026 — among 14- to 29-year-olds, it was 32%.

Source: Forsa for DAK-Gesundheit, 1,002 respondents, November 2025

74%

of participants who stayed alcohol-free all January said in a British survey that they were sleeping better afterwards. With slips along the way, it was still 65.6%.

almost €35

is what a household in Germany spends on alcoholic drinks in an average month — restaurants, cafés and bars not included.

We count evenings, not glasses, and we promise you nothing. Just this: every evening you confirm counts.

Well prepared

  • If you drink a lot every day, or start shaking or sweating without alcohol, talk to a doctor first: stopping suddenly can be dangerous then. You can still take part — with a plan you agree with them.
  • A slip isn't failure: it only takes back that one day.

Good to know

When can I join?

Now, and until January 31. If you join before the start, we add your commitment on January 1 — from then on, every evening counts.

Do I have to manage the whole month?

No. Every confirmed day counts on its own — even if not every one works out.

What if I do drink one evening?

Then that one day doesn't count. The next evening you carry on, with nothing to make up.

Can anyone see what I log?

No. This page only shows the total — never a name, never your days.

Does alcohol-free beer count?

That's up to you. Every evening you confirm counts.

One evening is enough to start.
